Winter weather advisory, hazardous travel, wind chills near 0º
Good Tuesday morning everyone! A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of the state until noon today. Strong winds will cause blowing snow and hazardous driving conditions through midday. Snowfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are possible for these areas.
The heavy accumulating snow will come to an end around 10 am today. Isolated snow showers and flurries will remain possible throughout the rest of the day.
Winds will remain strong out of the northwest all day. Causing blowing snow in the morning hours and reducing visibility. Sustained winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Another surge of arctic air will move in today. Dropping our temperatures into the teens by the afternoon hours.
By this afternoon wind chills will be close to zero and overnight many areas will feel below zero! Bundle up today!
