HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (Jan. 15, 2016)—Several police agencies gathered in Hendricks County Friday to investigate a suspicious device allegedly found in a vehicle.

Members with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department bomb squad searched a maroon truck near Country Road 700 North and 900 East.

Residents said officers have been on the scene since 8:30 a.m. Authorities cleared the scene just before noon.

Witnesses said the owner of the truck called police after he noticed a suspicious device in his truck.

Officers blocked off the intersection while they investigated.

IMPD cleared the truck and found no devices.

“We have no logical explanation for what the driver reported hearing,” said Captain Amanda Goings with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s office.
