Crews rescue driver after east side crash; several other crashes reported

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 15, 2016)—Emergency crews responded to several crashes across Indianapolis Friday morning.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., I-465 northbound lanes were closed at 86th Street due to a crash, causing heavy backup.

Around 8 a.m., crews responded to a crash at I-465 and 38th Street on the city’s east side. Officials say a car flipped and a driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Several other crashes included:

  • Three-vehicle accident on I-70 WB at the North Split
  • Crash at 41st Street and Keystone Avenue
