WASHINGTON D.C. (January 17, 2016) - Congressman Luke Messer (R-IN) is responding to the President's State of the Union address on this week's edition of IN Focus.

"You know it all sounded to me like one long Jedi mind trick, trying to get the American people to believe something that's just not true," said Messer. "Despite all the flowery rhetoric, we still have no plan to defeat ISIS and no plan to get America's economy going again."

President Obama also talked about the divided nature of politics in his speech last Tuesday, something Messer also acknowledged in his interview with FOX59.

"Of course I'd love to see our country come together," said Messer. "Hopefully we'll find some potential for common ground."

"It's one of the few regrets of my Presidency, that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better," said President Obama.

In the video above, our IN Focus panelist also discuss the President's speech and the ongoing race for President in 2016.
