(January 20, 2016) – Dramatic surveillance video shows a woman fighting off would-be carjackers at a gas station.

According to WSVN, surveillance video shows two men getting into the driver and passenger seats of a woman’s car. But the woman fights back, and she rips the ski mask off of the carjacker and she dragged him out of the car. Both of the carjackers then ran away.

“She was a mom and what that bad guy didn’t know in the backseat of that car, were two kids and she wasn’t going to let them be taken. So she fought, she dragged the guy out of the car and they both ran away like cowards,” Carl Zogby with Hialeah Police Department told WSVN.

Hialeah police say the would-be carjackers, Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Nicholas Rosado, ran to a getaway car driven by Rebecca Utria.

The three suspects were later arrested and charged with attempted carjacking and fleeing police.
