NEW YORK (January 20, 2016) – Family and friends of a Delta flight attendant are desperately trying to find her after she went missing last week.

Sierra Shields, 30, was last seen by her supervisor around noon on January 14, 2016 at LaGuardia Airport. She had been scheduled to work a flight, but she quit her job and walked out instead. It is not clear if Shields left the airport by foot, bus, or car.

Shields currently lives in Astoria, Queens, but she’s originally from the Chicago area. According to Shields’ sister, she is very close with her family, and she tried to go home to Chicago as much as possible. Shields is about five feet seven inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has brown eyes, black hair, and medium complexion.

Family members launched a social media campaign called “Find Sierra Shields,” and on the group’s Facebook page, her father wrote: “May our love for her overwhelm what could discourage us and help us to find her. This time isn’t easy for any of us, may the love Sierra gave to each of us continue to fill us with hope and a zeal to love each other unconditionally. Sierra, please come home I miss my running buddy. May the spirit of God give us all strength.”

Anyone with information on Shields’ whereabouts is asked to call 347-670-3329 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
