Peru man faces charges of child pornography, child exploitation

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (January 21, 2016) – A Peru man was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and child exploitation.

According to authorities, a criminal investigation by officers from the Indiana State Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force resulted in the arrest of Larry Owen, 61, of Peru.

Officers served Owen with a Miami Superior Court II arrest warrant alleging 25 counts for the possession of child pornography and a single charge for child exploitation. Owen was incarcerated in the Miami County Jail where he posted ten percent of a $125,000 bond.

Officers began their investigation after discovering Owen allegedly possessed nude and partially nude images of children. Officers later obtained a warrant to search his home, and they purportedly found evidence of child pornography.
