IMPD officer uninjured after crash on city’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 7, 2016) – An IMPD officer is uninjured following a crash on the city’s south side Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the 4200 block of South East Street near Southern Plaza.

When emergency crews arrived, the police car and the SUV were on their sides, but no one was injured in the crash.

Following an investigation, police sat that an SUV driver failed to yield the right of way of an off-duty officer, and the SUV driver turned in front of the officer. There is no suspicion of alcohol involved for either party.
