Person in critical condition after being stabbed downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (February 16, 2016) – Police say a person is in critical condition after a stabbing downtown late Tuesday night.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Pennsylvania Street around 11:30 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, officers found one person suffering from stab wound under a bridge just south of Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Aggravated assault detectives are handling the investigation and say there is evidence of a possible weapon used in the attack.

The victim was transported to Eskenazi in critical condition.
