INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 18, 2016)-- All month long, FOX59 is celebrating black history-- heroes of yesterday and the legacy leaders of today.

U.S. Congressman Andre Carson spoke with FOX59's Fanchon Stinger about the significant contributions of African-American Hoosiers, both past and present.

In the video above, Carson discusses the legacy of late radio host Amos Brown, how Brown transformed our city and what young people should take away from our his legacy.

He also talks about the Hoosier jobs Carrier is sending to Mexico and a nationwide airline safety bill he's authoring to make air travel safer for you and your family.

Carson also has some fun sharing his favorite movies and he leaves young people with a challenge to stand up for themselves and others.
