MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (Feb. 22, 2016) – A man arrested in Florida over the weekend is no stranger to law enforcement officers there.
Early Sunday morning, deputies from the Martin County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office spotted a car that had been stolen. Deputies said the car was traveling recklessly at speeds of up to 110 mph. As they conducted a traffic stop, the driver ran off into a muddy wooded area. They “plucked him out of the muck” about 45 minutes later.
Police identified the man as 39-year-old Sammy Luciano, and to be honest, his arrest was no surprise. Police said Luciano has been arrested 34 times and has a criminal history that includes burglary, battery on a law enforcement officer, violating probation, possession of drugs, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.
On its Facebook page, the sheriff’s office posted more than 20 different mug shots of Luciano during his various arrests over the years.
“These are just some of the many faces of Sam Luciano,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
This time, Luciano faces charges of felony drunk driving, grand theft auto and resisting arrest.
