NASHVILLE, Ind. (Feb. 22, 2016)– A man accused of attacking a woman with a hatchet in Brown County last week pleaded not guilty in court Monday.

Police say Dana Ericson, 59, attacked an 18-year-old foreign exchange student with the hatchet, significantly cutting her back. Ericson was arrested on charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery causing serious permanent disfigurement and battery by means of a deadly weapon.
