JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (February 22, 2016) – Three teens in Johnson County were arrested and accused of underage drinking and destroying mailboxes. Police say they were able to identify the group due to the fact that one person was carrying a large American flag.

According to court documents, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office received seven reports of damaged mailboxes Sunday night. One witness told police a group of teens carrying a large American flag committed the crimes.

Several officers drove through the area and found a group of four males that matched the description carrying an American flag.

The officers spoke with the group of teens, and according to court documents they smelled alcohol on their breath.

Officers gave them a breath test, and three out of the four males tested positive for alcohol consumption.

Harvey Walls III, 18, Joshua Nunez, 20, and Dustin Turner, 19, were arrested for criminal mischief and possession of alcohol by a minor.

One male in the group had not been drinking; he was not arrested, but paperwork was sent to the prosecutor for review.
