Colts won’t bring back Hasselbeck in 2016

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 28, 2016) – Matt Hasselbeck will not return to the Colts next season.

The decision was first reported by Michael Silver of NFL Media.

Hasselbeck filled in admirably for the injured Andrew Luck in 2015, starting eight games while winning five. He threw for 1,690 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions.

The Colts’ quarterbacks currently under contract for 2016 are Luck, Josh Freeman, and Stephen Morris.
