Breezy, more sun before taste of winter returns later this week!

Expect a breezy (west to southwest 10-15 mph), chilly start this morning, as sprinkles come to an end from west to east early! Although plenty of clouds linger early this morning, sunshine will build in and temperatures should recover into the middle 50s later today. In fact, this afternoon will be the best day of the workweek! Here is your breakdown:

Clouds will gather later tonight and eventually rain will begin to fall tomorrow (Tuesday) for most of Indiana! Rain will fall steadily in spots, while colder air will flow in quickly behind this system by Tuesday evening (between 4-8 p.m.). Rain will switch to snow, especially from I-70 and points north! Accumulations will be low and MOSTLY confined to grassy areas for Indianapolis. Better chances of roads turning slick in spots for northern counties will need to be watched! Difficult to say how much snow will accumulate in northern counties with temperatures running so warm the past few days! We will continue to monitor but in the short-term here is my current thinking!
