GREENVILLE, SC (March 5, 2016) – A little girl in South Carolina called 911 for a fashion emergency – she needed help getting dressed! According to WHNS, Aaliyah, 2, called 911 while her grandfather was babysitting her, and he says he didn’t know she called anyone.

“This little 2-year-old girl dialed 911 without her parents knowing. I show up and she comes to the door with her pants half on, saying she can’t get them on. So I sit down on the stairs and help her put pants on. And then she proceeds to ask me to pick her up and hug her,” said Deputy Martha Lohnes with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Pebbles Ryan, Aaliyah’s mother, couldn’t believe that she actually dialed the number. Ryan told WHNS, “I’ve showed it to her, but I didn’t know she knew what she was doing.”

And although Aaliyah made a call for help for a non-emergency, Deputy Lohnes was thankful she made a new friend out of the incident.

“We have such hard, intense things that we have to deal with all day long, to have a little girl running up to the front door, asking me to put on her pants, it was just the highlight of my day, I loved it,” Deputy Lohnes told WHNS.
