BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (March 5, 2016) – A homeless man in Bloomington is accused of attempting to steal sex toys and personal creams from Spencer’s in College Mall, and he’s also accused of threatening to kill an officer.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at Spencer’s on Tuesday around 4 p.m. Staff told police they saw the suspect, later identified as Jamie Voci, 45, concealing items from the store under his clothes. According to police, he attempted to steal an estimated $90 worth of merchandise, including two vibrators, two tubes of lubricant and an intimate outfit.

Voci started yelling when police arrived and he threatened to kill an officer, Bloomington Police Department Capt. Steve Kellams said.

Police arrested Voci on preliminary charges of theft, resisting law enforcement and intimidation of a police officer. He was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $700 bond.
