INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 12, 2016)—Some busy days are ahead at the Indianapolis International Airport.

Travelers are advised to arrive early and pack their patience during the Spring Break travel season.

Airport officials say they are expecting 14,587 travelers Saturday and 14,000 travelers Sunday at IND. Those numbers represent a jump of some 6,000 more air passengers for Saturday and 5,000 more than usual for Sunday.  TSA personnel, which provides security screenings at the checkpoints, expect Saturday and Sunday to be their 3rd or 4th busiest days in the last three years here.

TSA and airport personnel are partnering to find ways to keep security lines at a minimum while keeping passenger safety a priority.

If arriving early is not your thing, passengers might consider taking advantage of the TSA pre-check option.
