INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 12, 2016)—For many Hoosiers tonight is the night they will set their clocks ahead for Daylight Saving Time.

While the official time change happens at 2 a.m. local time Sunday, most people will set their clocks ahead before going to bed Saturday night.

The shift moves one hour of daylight from morning to evening.

Some of our clock based devices will make the time change on their own; cell phones, tablets, laptops and computers.

Wall clocks, stoves, microwave ovens and most vehicle clocks will require you to move the time ahead one hour.

Worried about losing an hour’s sleep, try going to bed an hour early.

Daylight Saving Time will end Sunday, November 6, 2016, when we “fall back” an hour.
