Gun found in car at Bishop Chatard High School prompts lockdown

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 16, 2016) – A gun found inside a car prompted a lockdown Wednesday afternoon at Bishop Chatard High School.

According to the school, the lockdown started around 12:35 p.m. and was lifted about an hour later. The school said a gun was found in a student’s car. All students and faculty were secure.

The normal school schedule has resumed, and school personnel were working with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department to investigate.
