Man arrested for stealing from Carmel vehicle

CARMEL, Ind. (March 16, 2016) — Carmel police arrested an Indianapolis man after they say he stole several items from a Carmel vehicle.

Anthony Jamison Jr., 32, is facing theft and unauthorized entry charges. Police responded to the theft in progress call in the 13300 block of Spring Farms Drive around 2:40 a.m. Friday.

The caller described seeing a man wearing a light colored baseball hat, dark coat and blue jeans trying to open the door to his vehicle.

Police later observed a silver Kia Soul traveling south on Springmill Road. The vehicle matched the description of a possible suspect vehicle used in recent thefts from vehicles.

Police stopped the Kia Soul, driven by Jamison, for minor traffic violations. Police then found the stolen property in the vehicle and arrested him.

Jamison was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. His bond was set at $6,000.
