Man in serious condition after near northeast side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 16, 2016) — A man is in serious condition after a shooting early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a call about shots fired in the 3800 block of East 32nd Street shortly before 1 a.m.

When they arrived on scene, police found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim told police he was walking home from the grocery store when the shooting occurred.

Police say the victim was transported to Eskenazi in serious condition.
