INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 27th, 2016) — No Easter is complete without an egg hunt, and organizers at the Indianapolis Zoo are putting a wild twist on the game

Guests can locate animal-print eggs around the zoo on Sunday to earn a special prize. Animal keepers are also introducing people to all the new baby animals you can see this spring.

“We’re really excited to celebrate all our zoo babies here on the grounds for Easter, in forest we have a gibbon, we have a new giraffe, we have our lion cubs and then here in the orangutan center we have Sirih’s baby, she was born last week on Wednesday and she and mom are doing really, really well!” said Melanie Laurendine, Conservation PR Specialist at the zoo.

Meanwhile, the other orangutans got a special treat today — Easter baskets with hard boiled eggs and popcorn.
