One person dies in accident on I-65

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 27, 2016) — Indiana State Police is investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 65.

The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. near the I-70 split.

ISP dispatch says the accident was a single-vehicle accident. One person was in the car at the time of the crash. The person later died.

All three lanes of southbound I-65 were closed for a couple hours while crews worked to clean up the crash. All lanes are back open and traffic is running smoothly.
