Linda Kushner is all about helping kids, so she nominated Lambswear for the FOX59/Old National Bank Pay It Forward Challenge and made a video to show us why.

Lambswear is a faith based non-profit co-founded by Linda’s daughter, Heidi. They collect gently used clothes, new underwear and socks, put them in gift bags and deliver them to needy kids in our city. Linda has seen the impact of those donations first-hand.

“There’s this one little girl at one of the schools that she started crying when she opened her bag because she saw her own pair of underwear. That’s something that all of us take for granted. We just go to the store and buy our underwear. But this little girl, her family couldn’t provide it for her.”

Last year, Lambswear helped almost 2,000 kids! But it needs more socks and underwear.

Old National Bank gave Linda $200 to show what Lambswear could do with that kind of money. She recorded the entire process.

“I am getting ready to go spend my $200 gift card that I just picked up at Old National Bank!”

Linda and her team bought 20 packs of new underwear for the kids. But she says Lambswear gives more than just clothes, they give out hope.

“I get a warm spot in my heart every time these children open their bags. It just brings tears to my eyes.”
