Man critically injured in shooting on west side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 28, 2016) – Police are investigating a shooting on the city’s near north side Monday.

The shooting occurred in the 600 block of north Exeter Avenue around 10 a.m. When officers arrived to the area, they found a young adult male suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are canvassing the area in search of any witnesses and additional information in the shooting. Police say they believe this is an isolated incident and not a random shooting.
