INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 3, 2016) – A group of customers is being credited for helping to stop a robbery at a Village Pantry on Indy’s southeast side early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Village Pantry in the 5900 block of East Thompson Road around 12:15 a.m. on a report of a robbery at a business.

When officers arrived, they found a group of customers holding down the robbery suspect.

Police arrested the suspect and charged the 15-year-old male with robbery. He was transported to the Juvenile Intake Center.

Even though these customers did a great job helping police catch a robbery suspect, it is important to note that we are not suggesting that anyone should personally try to stop a crime.
