Castleton-area gas station robbed for third time in a month

INDIANAPOLIS (April 5, 2016) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers are investigating after a Castleton-area gas station was robbed for the third time in a month.

Officers responded to the Speedway gas station near the intersection of East 82nd Street and Allisonville Road shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday on the report of an armed robbery.

Police say according to witnesses, a man armed with a gun robbed the gas station and fled the scene in a van.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.

According to police reports, this same gas station was also robbed twice in March – once on March 19 and once on March 23.

Officers are continuing to investigate and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
