Several activities planned for women’s Final Four ahead of championship game

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 5, 2016) – Basketball fans from around the country are in Indianapolis for Tuesday’s national championship game.

The UConn Huskies (37-0) will take on the Syracuse Orange (30-7) as they try to win their fourth straight NCAA title. Tuesday is packed with activities for the Final Four, including a block party on Georgia Street. Here’s a look at what’s on tap:

  • 4:30-8:30 p.m. – Women’s Final Four Block Party, Georgia St. and Ober Lot. Championship pep rally at 6:30 p.m. on Georgia Street
  • 5:15-8 p.m. — Advancing Women Summit panel and reception. Topic is creating world class teams on the court and in the office. Participants include Michelle Brooke-Marciniak, co-founder and CEO of Sheek; Courtney Banghart, women’s basketball coach at Princeton University; Allison Melangton, senior vice president at Hulman Motorsports. Bankers Life Fieldhouse practice court. Game ticket required
  • 7:15-7:45 p.m. – Divisions II and III national champions team autograph session, Bankers Life Fieldhouse
  • 8:30 p.m. – Division I national championship game, Bankers Life Fieldhouse
