INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 11, 2016)--Good Monday afternoon! It's been a soggy Monday with rain continuing this afternoon. Some southern counties have also seen thunderstorms. 24-hour totals have ranged from 1 to 2 inches across central Indiana with Indianapolis seeing 1.24 inches as of Noon Monday. The rain will end by 5 p.m. in the city and we'll clear the sky overnight.
As of April 10, Indy has seen a surplus of rain for the spring season as the city is 0.25 inches above average on rainfall. We'll add in today's rainfall once the rain ends this afternoon.
A Freeze Warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
A pattern change is on the way this week! Tuesday into the weekend will bring high pressure and easterly winds. Highs will gradually go up through the week after some cold starts. Tuesday morning will bring freezing temperatures and Wednesday morning will also be near freezing. However 70s will return by the end of the week so we get to look forward to that!
