Asian Inspired Glaze
- ¾ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon less sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon unseasoned rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
- 1 to 1 ½ teaspoons finely minced ginger root
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Whisk all ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave about a minute before glazing the ham when you want to cook/heat it. Brush ham with about half the mixture then bake. Brush more glaze on ham when it comes out of the oven, or serve that glaze (heat it first) on the side.
Makes about 1 cup glaze.
