Man taken to hospital after car crashes into Greenwood home

GREENWOOD, Ind. (April 18, 2016) – A car crashed into a home in Greenwood Monday morning.

Officers said the driver, a man in his 50s, blacked out while driving and hit a house across the street from Greenwood High School on West Smith Valley Road. It happened just after 8 a.m.

The man was taken to Franciscan St. Francis Health as a precaution. Officers said the man had a stroke about four months ago. A woman inside the home was not hurt.

Police believe this was a medical episode and said neither alcohol nor drugs were involved.
