Update: Charles Burgan was found safe, police said.


HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (April 18, 2016) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man last seen in Hancock County. Family members of Charles L. Burgan, 72, reported him missing Monday morning after he failed to return home the previous evening. According to his family, he left Sunday afternoon from the area of State Road 37 and 206th Street to run errands, but he did not return home as expected.

Burgan is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall, and weighing between 145-160 pounds. He has gray hair, blue eyes, and a goatee.

He was last seen in Shirley, Indiana (Hancock County) driving a blue 1998 BMW convertible with Indiana license plate WCQ973.
