INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 21, 2016) -- Indianapolis Metropolitan police are conducting a death investigation on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

A person was found dead in the 2300 block of South Lynhurst Drive. Employees at Airport Office Centre found a body in the parking lot near a dumpster. The man was unresponsive, and they called police.

Homicide investigators and the crime lab responded to the scene. Police are calling this a death investigation but would not elaborate when asked if there were any signs of foul play.

Crime scene tape blocked off the parking lot, and a tent was set up to preserve evidence near the body.

Homicide detectives went door to door the business plaza to speak to employees. They were also looking into potential surveillance video that could provide information about the man's death.
