AMC, Radio One, Kilroy’s among Indy businesses celebrating life of Prince

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 22, 2016) – Indianapolis businesses are celebrating the life of Prince this weekend.

Since the announcement of his death Thursday, people across the U.S. have honored the Hall of Fame artist in several ways.

AMC will be playing ‘Purple Rain’ at 87 theaters across the country from April 23 to April 28. Indianapolis 17 on the city’s south side is one of them. Prince made his film debut in the film that won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. Click here for showtimes.

The radio stations of Radio One Indianapolis will be celebrating the musician’s life’s work and entire musical catalog on air and at Kilroy’s downtown for “Purple Rain Party on the Patio.” Starting at 4 p.m. Friday, several local DJ’s will play all of Prince’s biggest hits.
