NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (April 23, 2016)–Hamilton County Sheriff’s officers are investigating a drowning involving a two year old boy Saturday evening.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. emergency crews were sent to the 18700 block of Northview Place on the north side of Noblesville.

Investigators say a non-parental adult family member who was caring for the child was mowing when  she noticed the child missing.

Sheriff’s deputies were joined by Noblesville police officers in a search of the area.

The child was found unresponsive in a neighbor’s swimming pool in the 1400 block of North 10th Street.

Attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful.

The name of the boy has not been released.
