INDIANAPOLIS, Ind( April 24, 2016) -- With the warm weather and more rain chances in the forecast this week, more mosquitoes might make their debut in central Indiana.

We all know those bites can be itchy and annoying, but health officials are putting out a warning -- they say illnesses carried by mosquitoes could make this season worse than others. With more concerns about West Nile and now the Zika virus, they say everyone should be careful outside.

To stay bite-free, experts say you should get rid of any standing water and use bug sprays. Plus, you can use certain products to keep mosquitoes away from your yard at home.
