Man shot multiple times on near northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (April 24, 2016) – Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a man was shot late Sunday night.

IMPD responded to the intersection of East 34th Street and North Keystone Avenue on reports of a person shot shortly before 11 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, officers say they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police on scene, the victim was alert and oriented when he was transported to the hospital.

Aggravated assault detectives are investigating but have not released any suspect information at this time.
