GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police say three people were injured in a head-on crash Thursday in Grant County.
Officers responded to the crash around 3:30 p.m. at State Road 15 and Herreld Road.
Police say Pamela Miller, 19, was driving southbound in a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle when she allegedly crossed the center line to pass a line of traffic. The car hit a 2001 Cadillac Deville driven by Lisa Caley, 52.
Miller and Caley were airlifted to a Ft. Wayne hospital with internal injuries. Megan Cavins, 36,
Miller and Caley were flown from the crash scene, by a medical helicopter, to a Ft Wayne hospital. Both suffered internal injuries.
A passenger in the Cadillac was transported by ambulance to Marion General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation, but at this time police say neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to this crash.
