Running for a reason at the Indy Mini

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2016) — More than 30,000 people signed-up for the 500 Festival Mini Marathon with many different reasons to run.

Some city leaders wanted to show — they don’t just run for office.  Both sides of the aisle came together for a cause:

Colts Cheerleaders came out for a cause too. They wanted to support their friend, Tessa David. The former Colts Cheerleader had a severe stroke at 28 years old. Now, she's participating in the 5K event and raising money for the National Stroke Association:

Brandon Lambert-Ray had a different reason for running -- he wanted to propose to his girlfriend! Lambert-Ray proposed to Taylor Laminack after he crossed the finish line on Saturday morning.
