INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Forrest Lucas, founder of Lucas Oil products and owner of the Lucas Estate just made another big purchase.

He stopped by the Fox 59 Red Couch to talk about his plans for the former Nancy Irsay Estate and his excitement for the Indy 500.

Lucas says he'll focus on restoring the entire former Irsay estate to its original beauty.

Nancy Irsay did not live there full time before she died last November, so restoring the home and the grounds is priority number one.

Lucas plans to use the 10,000 square foot house and the 6,000 square foot party barn as an extension of the Lucas Estate, an elegant and exquisite backdrop for weddings, parties and charitable events.

He says he's looking forward to the Indy 500. He is a sponsor of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
