INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - If you're heading out to the track this month, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials suggest downloading the Speedway's new app to help you get around and keep up with what's going on.

"It's really the first time we've had that interactive app for people to really enjoy the Speedway the way they've never enjoyed it before," said IMS President Doug Boles.

The app let's you keep up with the IMS schedule and news. It also has a point to point navigation which gives you the fastest routes to the track from any direction. And once you get there, the interactive maps show you how to get where you need to go so you never have to fear getting lost.

"If you go in Gate 1 which is our new, beautiful gate at 16th and Georgetown, but your seats are in turn 4 it'll help you navigate to those seats."
The only wrench we could see thrown into this is that there could be too many people using their cell phones and slowing down service. However, the IMS is working on combating that.
"We've got additional cell towers that have come in so hopefully that'll help."
