YORKTOWN, Ind. — Three children were rushed to the hospital Saturday following a dirt bike accident in Delaware County.

Police say a 10-year-old boy was driving a nine-year-old girl around on the dirt bike, when they hit the boy’s four-year-old sister.

The boy and his younger sister had to get stitches. The nine-year-old girl suffered from a broken arm. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

According to officers, the kids’ mother was out of sight but nearby when the accident occurred. State law requires any operator under the age of 14 to have immediate adult supervision.  It is also a violation for anyone to operate an off-road vehicle on a public road in Delaware County.
