INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Indianapolis man invited first responders to his home for a “Blue Lives Matter” event Saturday.

At the event, Matt Miller provided men and woman from the police department, fire department and EMS with a free lunch.

The meal consisted of handmade smoked pulled pork, chips, potato salad, frijoles, baked beans and cold drinks.

Miller organized the event so that the emergency responders could come before and after their shift changes.

“I truly appreciate the sacrifice you and your family give each and every day to protect all the citizens of this great city,” said Miller. “You protect the good and the bad and rarely are you thanked for the work you do.”
