INDIANAPOLIS – Southbound lanes of I-65 are back open on Indy’s northwest side after a crash involving two semis.
According to Indiana State Police, the crash happened on I-65 southbound near the 71st Street exit shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say a semi was rear-ended by another semi, and one jackknifed in the roadway.
Officers on scene say one of the drivers was extricated by emergency crews after being trapped for about thirty minutes. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All southbound lanes were closed for roughly two hours following the crash.
