WET MAY

Who's ready for a change? We have one in the works!
More rain arriving this evening in a May that has already produced 3.11".

Showers will persist tonight and not diminish until late tonight.   The rainfall has been light and will remain so this evening and overnight. Surprisingly, rainfall for May is now just barely above normal.  It's the persistence of rain showers for the month that may have you feeling that it's been gloomy. 14 of the 17 days this month have produced measurable rainfall.  That's ties 1933 for the most days with measurable rain on record to date!

COOL MAY

5 straight days below average temps, including lows in the 30's and the recent chill has destroyed the 'warm' spring. At one point we ranked among the top 10 warmest spring's on record. We've now fallen to 41st.  May currently is running 3° per day below normal.

WARMEST OF 2016

Big improvements are coming but slowly. First we start by brightening the skies Wednesday and Thursday. That will lead to high temperatures reaching the 60s! May 2016 has produced 5 days of sub 60° temperatures - last year there were none.

Small rain chances will returns for Friday and perhaps Saturday but attention turns to next week and the warm pattern that is developing.

How Much from Normal Meteogram

High temperatures are expected to go above normal starting Monday. We may reach 80° for several days starting early next week and indications that it could be the warmest air of 2016!
