Police investigating fatal accident near airport

Indianapolis, Ind. – Multiple agencies are on the scene of fatal accident near the Indianapolis International Airport.

The call came out shortly before 2 a.m.  on the northbound ramp of Ronald Reagan Parkway from the I-70 westbound ramp.

A passerby called police to indicate that a vehicle had wrecked.  Emergency crews responding to the scene located a male that had been ejected from the vehicle.   Police have confirmed that victim was pronounced dead on the scene.   A female occupant of the vehicle was taken to Methodist Hospital.  At this time, police are unsure who was driving the vehicle.

Early investigation does not indicate that alcohol being a factor in the crash.  The northbound ramp on Ronald Reagan Parkway from I-70 westbound will remain closed for some time as re-constructionist work the scene.

Fox 59 has a crew on the scene.
