Police search for suspect in Family Dollar robbery on near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery.

On June 23, just after noon, police say a man went behind the counter at the Family Dollar located at 2625 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street as a cashier was ringing up a customer.

He allegedly pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the cashier’s side and demanded money.

He left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe him as having buzz-cut hair, light beard and mustache and a tattoo on his upper right arm. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black and white plaid shorts and black and white Nike shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
