FOX59 is teaming-up with Viking Lamb to start a movement and “Pay it Forward” in our community.

All week long, we’re surprising Hoosiers with random acts of kindness — like giving kids at camp tickets to an Indians game! Take a look at our surprise from Tuesday morning:

We’re also highlighting local businesses that go the extra mile to help others, like the meat production facility “Smoking Goose” along with their market and butcher shop called “Goose the Market.” They’re known for handcrafting more than 40 varieties of meats, but employees there say they’re also known for local sourcing and using the entire animal. Anything left over is always donated to “Second Helpings” to help feed people in the community.

“We’re all doing this because this is something that we very much believe in and part of that is being able to give back to the community and know that absolutely nothing is wasted,” said Brittany Sanders, Operations Manager for Smoking Goose.

We’re calling this our “Pay it Forward” week, but we want to spark a chain reaction of good! Let us know how you’re paying it forward on social media using #FOX59PIF.
