SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – Authorities are searching for a man they say robbed a bank at gunpoint in Farmersburg Thursday morning.

The robbery at 1st Farmers Bank and Trust in the 11000 block of North 41 was reported to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office at 10:38.

When an officer arrived at 10:41, the suspect had already fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is believed to be in his 50’s, clean shaven, 5’8”to 5’10”, with a medium build, wearing dark glasses, dark ball cap, blue shirt and blue pants.

Police believe he entered the front door of the bank, walked up to a teller and handed her a note demanding money. The suspect then displayed a silver handgun of some type.

No customers were inside the bank at the time.

During the investigation, officers were able to develop a possible suspect vehicle and possibly a blonde female accomplice. The vehicle is believed to be a late model four-door Nissan or Hyundai, with a clean appearance and possibly minor damage to the front of the driver’s side. Police have no plate information.

Anyone with information is urged to contact ISP Detective Angie Hahn at the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114.
